Thank you so much for nominating me, Vanessa!

Here we go for the questions!
1. If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh my, do I have to narrow it down to one food? That is really a hard question! I think I would have to go with lasagna though. I mean who doesn’t love lasagna?
2. Favorite Bible verse?
Mine is actually a few verses. Hands down it would be Romans 8 — the victory chapter. More specifically, verses 35-39.
There is just something so beautiful about the fact that God’s love is unstoppable.
3. Favorite musical instrument? Why?
*gives a raised-eyebrow-look to Vanessa* This question is like asking a parent to choose a favorite kid…
But, if I had to pick, I would say my favorite instrument would be the guitar. Why? Because it was the first instrument I ever learned, so it holds a very special place in my heart. Guitar is sort of my first love in the musical world. Not to mention it is so beautiful and sweet. Plus you can pretty much take your guitar anywhere (whereas some instruments are too big).
4. Last Five Star Read
My last five star was The Journals of Lewis and Clark. I had read them in the past, but then recently I decided I wanted to read them again. I just finished this week. Honestly, their journals were incredible to read. I loved reading about their daily lives during the trip. The whole dynamic of Captain Lewis being an introvert and definitely not a people person vs Captain Clark being an extrovert and very much a people person, was very interesting.
5. Favorite Type Of Animal You Would Never Have As A Pet
Hmmm, I think I would go with a wombat. Those things are so stinking cute! I wouldn’t ever want one as a pet per se but yes, I love them. ❤
6. Favorite subject in school (or when you were in school)? Why?
Can I go with recess? 😉 ( Ok, being serious now). My favorite subject in school was definitely history.
Surprising I know. 😆 But yes, history was always my favorite school subject. I could have studied history all day.
Why? Because I love studying about who we are and what makes us what we are today. I love learning about the past so that maybe we won’t repeat the same mistakes. You can read more about why I love learning about history (especially America’s wars) here.
Plus I had awesome history teachers (aka mom and dad 🤩). Their passion for history definitely shaped my own passion for it.
7. Tea or Coffee
Pshh, what kind of a question is this? Coffee is by far the best! (Sorry to all of you tea lovers). My dad used to let my siblings and I have sips of his Coffee when we were really little, so I kinda grew up on Coffee. But we grew up drinking it black and STRONG. The rule was, if we could drink it black and strong — and like it — then we could drink coffee. And we are all coffee fanatics now.
People always claim that it stunts your growth. But my entire family, including my sisters and I, are above average heights. We always joke that it’s a mighty good thing that coffee supposedly stunts your growth, otherwise we would all be giants. 😂
8. If you could live anywhere (in the existing world), where would that be?
Right where I do now. I know it’s a boring answer, but I love my rural little corner of the world and wouldn’t change it for anything!
Don’t get me wrong — I love traveling, and would love to travel to a million different places, but as far as living someplace, I am happy where I am at. After all, there’s no place like home. ❤️
9. Favorite sport to participate in?
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a sporty, athletic person. I like to say that I am about as flexible as a wooden fence post when it comes to sports. It’s not like I don’t have good hand-eye coordination, because you kind of have to in order to play an instrument. I just don’t ever play a ton of sports.
That being said however, if I had to pick, it would be soccer. My siblings and I used to play soccer a lot. We would have games at least once a week during the summer — and I actually wasn’t too bad at it! I think mainly my issue with sports is that I don’t ever play, so I have no opportunity to get better. So yes, if I had to pick, it would be soccer.
10. Favorite song/piece of music? (Currently.)
This one is another one that is almost impossible for me to answer. I mean I usually have several different favorites at the same time. But currently, one of my favorites is Settled at the Cross. It ties in so well with my current WIP, which is why it is one of my favorites. I literally listen to it all the time. (My little sis can testify to that! Poor girl has to listen to it so much.😜)
11. Snow or rain?
Rain! Like that wasn’t even debatable. I would take rain over snow any day of the year (except maybe Christmas 😉).
I adore the smell of the rain (which by the way is called “Petrichor”). There is something so beautiful about both the smell and sound of rain. Not to mention that rain always makes everything look so fresh afterwards. It’s like it gives the entire world a fresh coat of paint.
Thank you again, Vanessa! I enjoyed answering your questions.

Hebrews 13:8
I definitely enjoyed this! I laughed out loud a couple times; mostly during the coffee segment. All the midgets in your life are quite happy you drank coffee and stunted your growth 😂
The wombat answer was slightly concerning…. but I suppose it will be okay.

I am glad it brought some joy to you today! Yes, no telling how tall we could have been if we hadn’t drank coffee. 😂
And I know it is slightly concerning, but seriously they are adorable! 😍

Such great answers! And I so agree about Romans 8. That chapter is just … yeah, I don’t think words even work to describe it.
And yes, guitar is so beautiful! 🙂 I might’ve asked you this before, but do you play classical guitar or others styles?

You are right! No words can describe it. ❤
I know I am slightly biased, but yes it is beautiful. 😍 I play classical and acoustic.

Seriously, rain instead of snow??? In winter, snow is beautiful! …and where I live it’s probably literally a life saver. We have so many suicides here because of the dark winters. 😦 Snow DEFINITELY brightens the days brighter and lighter.
I really enjoyed your answers though!! Thanks! You brought smiles to my face.
I’m a tea lover though. Don’t even like the smell of coffee. Sorry! 😀

Sorry 😆 That makes sense though for where you live.
Thank you! I am glad it brought some joy today. ❤
Coffee definitely isn’t for everybody. I do like tea, it’s just I like coffee more. 😆

Yes! Pasta is de best. And I definitely agree with you on history. Wombats are cute in an I’m-plotting-mischief-but-I’ll-get-away-with-it-because-I’m-so-adorable way. You should have a character have one for a pet. 😉 Think of the adventures that oblong bit of fluff and cuteness would have!

You are so welcome! I can’t wait for your answers!
Hmmm, that could be super interesting to have a wombat as a character’s pet! Might have to try that sometime. 😆

AHHHHHHH, YES, WOMBATS ARE CHUNKY BALLS OF FLUFF!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 They’re ADORABLE!!! And I enjoy history, too! 😃 Didn’t cultivate that until my sophomore year, but just learning how to connect the dots and mull over history and then freak out when you realized something is indeed a pleasure. (Maybe not the constant freaking out part…but my parents are kind enough to tolerate that. 😂😂)

Aren’t they adorable? So, so cute!!
That is awesome that you discovered a love for history! And I understand the freaking out part completely. 😆
