Where to even start. * stares at computer screen in hopes that the post will write itself *
Well seeing as this post apparently will not write itself, then I guess I will start at the very beginning.

I thought that maybe y’all would enjoy hearing about how Seeking The Timeless Anchor even came into being. It has been an incredibly crazy journey, and honestly I can’t believe that I have made it this far. Of course none of it has been because of me, but because of my Amazing God!
Y’all should know (if you don’t already) that I am very outspoken on a lot of issues. I have a way of going on some serious rants if something has me riled up. (You might get to hear some in the future.)😇
And with sixty miles to drive one way to church, my family gets to hear a lot of my rants (Yes, my family is awesome and literally the best. No, don’t tell any of them I said that. 😉). Believe me when I say that on those drives to and from church, we have covered pretty much every controversial topic out there. Everything from the state of the country, to history, to politics, to religion. I mean we have had a LOT of interesting and heated discussions. We are all pretty passionate about what we believe so discussions can get pretty crazy.
On several of these amazing car rides while I gave my rants, my family told me that I needed to start a blog. I laughed it off at first. I mean really, who would want to hear anything I have to say? Besides, a blog just wouldn’t work with all the other things in my life.
Wow, was I wrong about that! Isn’t it funny how God’s ways are never our ways? His plan seldom makes sense to us, but it is always best.
This whole blog thing really came about in a whirlwind way. I went from laughing at the very idea of it, to realizing that it is what God has opened up for me — in a matter of three months! Crazy, right?
Deciding on a name for my blog was a whole ordeal. I wanted something that incorporated my passion for history and above all else my God. My mom and I went over several names — none of them really seemed to fit though. Finally after much more collaboration with my mom and sisters, I finally decided on a name for it.
I had a name, a design, and a crazy dream for my blog. What else could I need?
I soon found out however that there is a lot more to starting a blog than meets the eye. And that is where my amazing God revealed his power in full display. Somehow he managed to give me wisdom in figuring things out. When I began feeling the most overwhelmed with the process, He would, without fail, bring someone to encourage me and give me help. I am so grateful for everyone who has helped me with getting this blog set up.❤️
I honestly cannot claim credit for anything about this blog. None of this is because of any of my abilities or anything I can do! I have no idea how I got as far as this even. I am just a country girl, learning as I go.
It has taken a lot of trial and error so far, and I know that I have so much more to learn, so bear with me, please! But my hope is that maybe God would use this blog to encourage those who need it — to be a blessing in some way to someone.
I would love to hear what you all would like to see posts about in the future! Is there anything in particular that you would like to see on this blog? Is there something that could be a blessing to you?

Hebrews 13:8
Our God is amazing! It’s been such a blessing to me to see how He is working in your life to accomplish His goals.
I would love to see a little blip of history events that happened within the week or on the day you post new things! Maybe, just maybe, us history dunces (me, myself, and I) could learn something!

Isn’t it just so amazing how the Lord works unexpected things out in our lives? His Ways are so much better than ours ever could be. And I personally love ranty blog posts, so I’m up for those! 🙂
