This past Wednesday was the 81st anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. You didn’t really think I had forgotten, did you? It’s never too late to remember such a huge event in our history.
This week has just been crazy though as far as my blog goes (sometimes I hate technology). And I wasn’t able to get a post done on Wednesday. So here you have it!
So many people today don’t even know what Pearl Harbor was. They can’t remember because they were never taught in the first place. Every year I listen to FDR’s speech given to Congress, asking for a declaration of war. I think that it’s important to know and remember. One of my favorite songs from history is Remember Pearl Harbor.
I decided this week to put together a slideshow with this song. Hopefully you enjoy it.
Can I just say, the part about the band…yeah that’s how we do America. If you know, you know. And if you don’t…go watch the video! Being a musician myself, I had to add it in there.

Yes, it was worth watching! The whole story behind the attack is so sad…all of the times that information that would have alerted them to the impending attack was misunderstood or misplaced etc.
