Rainbow heart streamers and a “love is love” banner accosted us as we walked in. Flags and decorations screamed “pride month” wickedness. The blatant display of wickedness being flaunted was despicable.
I was instantly overwhelmed with sorrow that our rainbow, the beautiful symbol that God created as a promise to us, had been hijacked by a sinful agenda.
This was the incident that met us upon our arrival at a motel we were staying at. The lobby was cluttered with “pride month decor”. It reeked of anti-Bible anti-God propaganda.
Our minds were instantly made up that this motel would no longer be receiving any of our business in the future.

It reminded me that this month, more than any other month, we are being told left and right that we should be accepting, supporting, and honoring wickedness.
Those of us who stand against sodomy and transgenderism are told to shut our mouths about our beliefs. We’re not allowed to speak the truth of God’s Word, because it goes against the agenda that is being pushed.
Believers who would dare stand against it, are criticized, called unloving, and accused of discrimination. We are browbeaten into silence for fear of the ridicule we will face if we speak out.
The question arises, where do we fit in to this? It may shock many of you to know how many “religious” groups are becoming wrapped up in the flesh fests this month. Let me assure you that it’s a lot. I have been appalled by the amount of organizations claiming the name of Christ that are openly participating and condoning sodomy and transgenderism. It is a sad commentary on those who claim to be “christians”.
But before we start pointing fingers at those who have compromised grievously and openly supported sin, let’s take an inventory of our own lives and how we fit in to the big picture.
As I have been writing this post, I have been disheartened by the amount of people claiming to be believers who meekly and quietly blend in with the surroundings. They don’t speak out against wickedness, but instead continue on with their lives, passive and complacent. Oh they grumble and complain under their breath about how awful it is that these companies and groups try to force feed their agenda to us.
But here is my question: What are we doing about it?
Many of you are probably aware of the onslaught of companies and brands that have come out in loud support of the “pride” community this year. Here’s a list of just a few that I would be willing to wager most of us have shopped from in the past and/or still shop at.
Target
Kohl’s
PetSmart
Lego
Cracker Barrel
Adidas
Yankee Candle
As I said, those are just a few that have decided to overtly support homosexuailty and transgenderism. Now I realize that some people would point out that many of the large companies that we buy from in our everyday lives are owned and operated by unsaved and godless people. I don’t deny that. Many of them are in fact owned by the lost world, who undoubtedly hold to beliefs that don’t align with my own. But not every company takes a loud, blatant stand for wickedness, as these have done. I can’t in good conscience support a company that makes a flagrant and bold point of proclaiming something that God says is an abomination.
If we aren’t willing to stand against wickedness, are we not just as bad as those who stand with the wickedness?
What if believers decided that they could do without their Target shopping trip or their Yankee Candle? What if we said, no more legos?
Yeah, I know. Those good deals at Target are sure a tempting offer. But is it worth sacrificing your beliefs over?
You know what the sad truth is though? We live in an entitled society that refuses to sacrifice anything for their convictions. We want convenience, and no one better tell us that we can’t have it.
What good could one person refusing to shop at Target do in the long run? Good question.
Let me ask you this: What good did three young men refusing to bow to an idol in the Old Testament do in the long run? What good did one young queen being bold enough to stand for truth do in the long run?
The three Hebrew children were only a fraction of the amount of people present the day they were told to bow. Humanly speaking, it didn’t matter if they refused to bow. All that would get them was killed—what an inconvenience. But they chose to stand anyway, because they knew that they had to, even if it was “pointless”. God is worthy of that, don’t you think?
Esther was just one woman in a country that was going down hill fast due to their decision to kill the Jews. What could one person do to change the course of history? She could have very easily been killed for her boldness in approaching the king without him calling for her. In the long run, what did it matter if she did what was right and stood up for her people and, in so doing, her God? She quite possibly could have been able to blend right in with those around her, never say a word about the slaughtering of her people, and live happily ever after. No one had to know that she was a Jew also, right? But she didn’t. When the going got tough she stood against the storm and onslaught of wickedness.

What did the young people in these two examples receive as a result of their actions?
The three Hebrew boys saw their God’s name exalted by the very man who condemned them.
“Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god,except their own God.”
Daniel 3:28
Esther saw her people saved and the enemies of God brought to their demise. She saw God’s people emerge the victors.
All this came because a few godly people were willing to stand, even if they stood alone.
But yeah, I guess you’re right. What good could possibly come from one person taking a stand?
But even if nothing ever came from one person doing the right thing, aren’t we still under obligation to do right? God never said that taking a stand for truth would be easy in this world. He warned us that it would be hard. Nothing worth fighting for ever came without a cost.
You can call this whatever you want—a rant, a rambling, a call-to-action, I don’t care.
It’s time for believers to wake up. If we don’t stand up for truth now, we will be lead silently to the slaughter. We have to take a stand for righteousness.
It’s time for us to stop being silent while the world and its wickedness get louder.
I get it, we have testimonies to uphold. I’m not telling you to be a brash loudmouth who leaves the lost with a bad taste in their mouth for Christianity. What I am saying is that we can’t just passively live our lives, never fighting back against evil, and expect it all to go away.
Those who think that they will simply weather the storm by blending into the background, never taking a stand or speaking out, are sorely mistaken. Mordecai warned Esther of the same thing.
“Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed:”
Esther 4:13, 14a
But the very next thing he said is also applicable for today.
“…and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14b
We live in a wicked world, a world that hates God and is fighting harder and harder against believers. But God makes no mistakes. He placed you and I in this world, in this time and place, for a purpose.
Who knows that maybe we were raised up for such a time as this?
Will you take a stand for Jesus? Will you speak the truth boldly, instead of blending in with the world?
Wickedness is growing louder. Believers must take a stand on the sure foundation of God’s Word.

Thank you! It’s hard to take a stand, but it’s something we must do! In a nation of individuals who are content to be fence riders we are seeing wickedness abound. I never thought in my lifetime I’d see such things blatantly plastered everywhere I go… but that is what happens when godly people refuse to take a stand. God is worthy of every little inconvenience or feeling of discomfort we will ever have. We need to start acting like it!

Yes, so true! When the righteous are silent, the wicked abound.

So true. Believers are complacent in so many ways in our culture. I am often guilty myself. The Bible says that judgement should begin in the house of God We have the truth, contained in God’s Word, and so we will be held accountable for how we handled that truth.
We are complacent in :
prayer, not our “bless the food”kind of prayer but “effectual, fervent” prayer; witnessing, even in leaving a tract on the table with our tip;
separated living, how many believers blend in with the world around them;
personal devotional time with God;
where are the godly men leading their homes;
do we vote for the godly or in most cases the most moral person available;
do godly men get involved in their communities in regards to “politics”;
is church a priority, or do activities keep you away, maybe even the common cold or headache is a deterrent?
Convicting thoughts. We must realize that we as Believers must get involved and we must start being the light we are called to be. We must examine our lives and confess where we are failing and seek to change. If we don’t do that soon, it will be too late.

Amazing post. Those Biblical examples of people standing up against evil are so relevant for this topic! No matter how insignificant we may think our actions are, God can use them in huge ways!

Once again, great post. I’ve personally boycotted several companies that blatantly pushed this stuff in my face, and I got some backlash on Instagram from it. (They can kick me off for all I care.) But as a quote says, “those who stand for nothing fall for anything”. And as a Christian, I don’t want to be silent just because everyone else is.

Thank you! Good for you! We need more people standing like that. Nothing will ever change if it’s never challenged.
