I decided to do something fun today in honor of Independence Day coming up.
Who doesn’t enjoy a good quiz to test their knowledge? (Okay, let’s be real here. I usually can’t resist taking quizzes like this, and then I bemoan life when they throw in a trick question and I fall for it.)
But that’s beside the point. Independence Day is literally just around the corner. I am so ready for it to come.
My family and I typically have our house decked with patriotic paraphernalia through most of the summer. But around Independence Day, it ramps up to serious-patriotism mode where you can’t hardly turn around without having a flag staring back at you—and I LOVE it.
Right now you can find the house alive with patriotic music wafting through it and red-white-and-blue everything shouting freedom to the world.
There’s just something beautiful about freedom, isn’t there? Believers know better than anybody how amazing freedom is. We have freedom from the chains of sin that once held us bound, individual soul liberty in Christ Jesus, and the future hope of freedom from this world when we reach Heaven’s beauty.
As a Believer living in America, I also enjoy the privilege of possessing the God-given political and religious freedom that He always intended for us to have. It’s a blessing beyond words, and it explains why I love my America so much.
In honor of that privilege, I have put together this simple quiz for y’all to enjoy as you prepare for Independence Day. Don’t worry, it’s not terribly long. And you never know what you might learn from it. 😉

Seeking The Timeless Anchor 
I thought I’d take it just for fun 🤣 Got 20 out of 50. 😆 I guessed on a lot of them, some were good guesses and some were bad. 😂 Some I actually knew though 😜 I was very pleased that I figured out logically the right answer to the anthem! And I so NEARLY put the right answer for the first state to renounce ties to Britain because I KNEW that was the right answer but then I decided it was a trick question and overthought it. 😂 Great quiz!!! I’d love to do more if you ever make them!

I hate embarrassing myself. 😀 I got most wrong or about half…i can’t remember now. I was stunned that i got the fireworks one right!! Fireworks, above all things! I knew that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson had died on the 4th, so I switched that in my brain to ‘they were born on the 4th’ which was inaccurate…LOL. Thanks for the quiz!
