Once again, some of you may or may not have noticed that I was oddly silent on the blog last week.
It was not my intention to miss posting, but I have been very sick and a new post just wasn’t happening last week. I spent most of what was supposed to be a relaxing family camping trip curled up in my sleeping bag, fighting off a fever and all other sort of horrible symptoms that come with being sick.
But I’m back again this week with an authorly update. (Spellcheck is telling me that’s not an actual word, but we’re going with it because that’s what authors doโcreate things. ๐)
I am very excited to announce that I am going to be published in the Seize the Moment Anthology that’s releasing this coming month!
For those of you who don’t know, Seize the Moment is the final book in the Seize the World Series. It is all things fall and faith themed, which makes me super excited.

I don’t know about you, but I am full-heartedly ready for the crisp air and pumpkin spice of autumn. The first signs of it are creeping into my part of the world. The days are getting shorter, and the starry nights longer. The last blooms of summer are fading into the vibrant leaves of autumn. And the apple and pear trees are overflowing with fruit.
The theme of StM (obviously aside from fall ๐) is “honoring the mercy of the Savior”. To me, mercy is such a perfect theme for autumn. It just…fits. They go hand-in-hand together like pumpkin and spice.
I think the first thing I’m going to do once I receive my copy of Seize the Moment is curl up in a blanket, with a cup of coffee, and revel in the autumn vibes of this anthology.
You’ll want to keep an eye out for more info on Seize the Moment and my short story “A Moment Redeemed” in the near future, but for now you’ll have to wait just a little longer.
Work-In-Progress
On another front, work on my debut novel, Shadow of Death, is still coming along steadily. Prayerfully, I will have more definitive information about it coming for you all soon.
I had a few setbacks that were really unexpected, but those have been resolved and I’m moving forward in the doors that God opens for me. I have found yet again, as in every area of my life, that when we step back and let God control every minute detail of our lives, it comes together in a fashion so much more beautiful than we could ever imagine.
When He closes a door, don’t try to bust it down like you’re some sort of special-forces ninja. Instead, stand still in the hallway until He shows you where He wants you to go.
Nothing with my publishing journey has gone the way I had initially envisioned, but that’s okay. His plan is always perfect, and when we seek it with all our hearts, He always provides.
New Designs
If you haven’t been on my shop in a while, you might want to head over and check out my new designs. I release new ones every week, and currently my fall designs are stealing the spotlight.
That’s it for today, but before you go, I want to hear from you! What is one Fall thing you are excited for this year? Do you have anything special planned this season? Let me know in the comments!

Congratulations!
I LOVE fall! I look forward to cooking/ baking “cozy” dishes. ( I avoid oven use during the summer)
We took a fall picnic last year, and I think we will try that again this year. We took chili and fixings and walked down a tree lined path.
