Their Valor of Sacrifice// Forever We’ll Remember Day 6

Are you getting tired of seeing my blog posts everyday yet?

Don’t answer that. It’s a loaded question.

If anything, I am praying that maybe it has served to remind you that Memorial Day is important! There is a reason we recognize it.

Today’s post is something that some of my subscribers requested that I do. Had it not been for them…let’s just say you would definetely not be getting this…

So if you hate it, you can blame them, and if happen to enjoy it then you can thank them.

You get super bonus points if you read this in a poetic voice while listening to Taps.

Without further discussion about it, I present to you…

Their Valor of Sacrifice

On a distant shore so far from home,

A dying soldier lay,

A sniper’s bullet had lodged near his heart,

He was fading quickly away.

The roar of battle filled the air,

Where this dying soldier lay,

Amid the sounds of war he took his last breath,

Then his heart stopped beating amid the fray.

Teardrops roll down a mother’s face,

Her son’s been killed in the war,

With grief she realizes he’s not coming back,

She wishes to have seen him just once more.

Oh may our country ne’er forget,

The sacrifice they gave,

A soldier’s death, a mother’s tears,

Made our nation land of the free, home of the brave.
